Starting with the brake controller itself, I highly recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 for your 2004 National Tropical RV. This is an excellent proportional controller that will activate your trailer's brakes at the same time and with the same intensity that you apply to them in your RV. This is compatible with the air brakes on the National Tropical because it will use the brake switch wire on the RV for operation.

I was unable to determine what your 2004 National Tropical RV is equipped with in terms of brake controller wiring, Since there is already a 6-Way installed at the rear of the RV, you can check for a wire that runs from the back of the 6-Way to the cab of the RV. As you mentioned, the brake control wire is typically blue and it will connect to the back of the 6-Way at the 3 O'clock position or the center position, depending on how the connector is wired. You can also check with a local Holiday RV dealer with your RV's model information and they might be able to provide you with the wiring that was installed at the factory.

If there is a brake controller port already installed, it will typically be located somewhere behind the dash of the RV cab.

If you find that there is not a brake circuit, you can simply install your own wire using the Wiring Kit # 5506. I have attached an installation video that you can use for reference.
