Replacement Mounting Kit for Sportsman Grille Guards 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500

Question:

I purchased a 40-117PK kit from you but Im not sure its correct for my 06foot Silverado 1500. I cannot figure out how the bottom brackets mount. Do you guys have any pictures? The instructions arent real clear on this.

I do have replacement grille guard mounting brackets for you but the grille guard would have to be specifically designed for your 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 in order for the mounts to line up with both the truck and brackets. Grille guards and bull bars are designed to fit specific year, make, and models, not just the mounting brackets.

If the grill guard you have now is specifically designed to work with your vehicle then the correct replacement bracket kit is the Replacement Mounting Kit for Sportsman Grille part # 40-117PK for light duty (LD). Unfortunately, the heavy duty (HD) replacement brackets are discontinued and no longer made.

An easy way to tell whether you have the light duty (LD) or heavy duty (HD) version would be to look at the lug pattern. If you have 6-lug hubs then you have the LD version and if you have 8-lug hubs then you have the HD version.

As long as the Westin Sportsman Grille Guard you have is specially designed to be used on a 2006 Chevy Silverado like part # 45-1170 or part # 40-1175 then yes, the Replacement Mounting Kit for Sportsman Grille part # 40-117PK is the correct kit for you. I have attached a photo of how the bottom brackets mount for you.
