Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancements for a 2004 GMC Sierra 1500 AWD Denali

Question:

Hi Im confused about which SES kit I need, I pull a Loaded camper of about 8000 lbs with a Reese straight line weight dist hitch, and i have a 900 lb golf cart in the bed of the pickup. My truck has a 10,000 lb tow rating, and a payload rating of 2370 lbs. She is a 2004 GMC Sierra Denali AWD Quadrasteer extended cab short bed. Technically shes a 1/2 ton but her specs are greater than regular 1/2 ton Sierra. Looking at The Timbren SES kit to level the squat she has when loaded. Also I have looked at lots of pics of other Gmcs bump stop mounting locations, mine seems different. Mine has the two bolts on the frame but the cup the bumpstop sits in is different. So I'm not sure which kit to go with. Thanks

As long as the distance from the center of each bolt hole on the bump stop of your 2004 GMC Sierra 1500 AWD Denali is 4-1/2" then the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System part # TGMRCK25S will work for you.

In order to install them on your vehicle, you will first need to remove the factory bump stops. This can be done by removing the two nuts located on top of the bump stop on the inside of the frame rail. It may be necessary to soak the nuts in a penetration compound such as WD-40 for about 20 minutes to help loosen them. Once the nuts are removed the bump stop should then drop out. You can install the new bump stop in the pre-existing holes.

I have attached a review and installation video of the kit installed on a 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500 for you.
