What is the Height of the Reese Elite Series Underbed Rail Adapter # RP30156
Question:
How high does this Ford adapter sit? I actually need one that sits fairly high. Reese Elite Series Underbed Rail Adapter for Standard 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches - 20,000 lbs

On the Reese Elite Series Underbed Rail Adapter # RP30156 the rails are 2-3/4 inches tall. The welded on brackets that have the connections that attached to the puck system on a Ford is 1/4 inch steel so the overall height of the adapter is 3 inches (see attached picture).
If you measure 3 inches from the top of the puck system on your Ford it will give you an idea of where your 5th wheel hitch will sit.
To gain extra height with a 5th wheel towing setup you can also adjust your 5th wheel hitch head and the pin box on your trailer. We recommend having 5-6 inches of clearance from the top of your truck bed rails to the overhang on your trailer.
