Does ZCI Trailer Wiring Harness Make Install of 4-Way Easier than Standard Universal Kit
Question:
This question is for Jameson C. as he answered a question from another customer on the wire kit for a 2008 Range Rover HSE. I ordered the kit recommended in the answer part # 119250KIT. He said, This kit taps into your taillight wires to install but since it uses sensors it does not require you to do any hardwiring at all.inch I dont have the trailer wiring yet but Jameson explain in a little more detail what he means by sensors and not having to hardwire cut into the RR HSE wires? I watched the 2008 RR Sport installation and it looked pretty complicated cutting wires, taking out tail lights, running wires through the body, etc. Hoping the RR HSE installation isnt as complicated with the sensors. Thanks

With the part # 119250KIT you have to pull out the wiring of the vehicle to access the wires that lead to the taillights, similar to what you saw in the video you mentioned. Where this kit makes thing is easier is that instead of having to use a quick-connect to splice in to the wire once you have found the one you need by testing, you instead attach one of the black sensors of the kit around the wire.
Easiest way to see how this installs is to check out the install video I attached that shows this kit installed in an Audi. The overall process will be the same (testing the wires and attaching sensors etc.) but the vehicle differences will make the process not exactly the same.
