RV Cover for Storing 2015 Cedar Creek Hathaway 36CKTS 5th Wheel in Colorado Winter Snow

Question:

We have a 2015 Cedar Creek 36CKTS 5th Wheel. We are putting it in storage in Denver from the middle of November to the end of March. Heavy snow/ice is to be expected. Cedar Creek says the bumper-to-bumper length is 396. Our title says 40. From the top of our A/C to the ground is 13.5foot ... we have vaulted ceilings. What cover should we get? Thx

When measuring your RV for a storage cover, you will need the overall length and the height. When measuring for length, you must include any ladders or spare tire carriers that extend past the bumper. Often RV model numbers will include a length, like yours, 36CKTS. As you mentioned, this is not always an accurate measurement of the total length, so it is important that you take measurements and not rely on the model description. When measuring the height, you need only measure from the ground to the edge of the roof. You should not include any AC units, ladders, vents, satellites or other roof accessories in the height measurement. Cover manufactures design the covers to include space for your roof accessories.

I reached out to my contact at Classic Accessories and he was familiar with your specific model and verified the length and the height of your model. (40'7" length and 13' height with the AC unit.) Since you are going to be storing your camper in Colorado, he recommended the PermaPRO Deluxe Extra Tall 5th Wheel Cover # CA80-299-203101-RT for your 2015 Cedar Creek 36CKTS 5th Wheel. The PermaPRO fabric is tear-resistant, water-repellent, and offers UV & snow protection. The PermaPRO comes with long zipper pulls to reduce your need for a ladder and their weighted toss-bag system eliminates crawling under the RV to install the tension straps. It also comes with a handy storage bag.

I would also recommend purchasing some wheel covers for your RV to protect the tires from the UV rays. I've provided a link to our selection of wheel covers for your convenience.
