Question:
Hello. I bought the following bike rack: 1up-usa heavy-duty-double-bike-rack. I am looking to buy a hitch receiver and I found one on your website. Please let me know if the following will be OK. Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2inch - C13176 . Thanks in advance.

Yes, the 2-inch Class III Curt hitch # C13176 is a confirmed fit for your 2017 Chevrolet Colorado. it includes all required mounting hardware and installs without drilling. The instructions are linked for you and these tell you the specific tools needed for installation. You can also refer to the linked installation video to see the process on a 2016 Colorado.
The 1up-USA website does not provide one important specification for their Heavy Duty Double platform bike rack, the clearance from the hitch pin hole. This matters because it will tell you the rack's position relative to the tailgate once it is installed in the hitch. This should not matter too much since the Curt hitch installs with its receiver pin hole only 2-1/2-inches from the rear of the truck. Given this excellent clearance most 2-inch bike racks will fit just fine.
You might want to consider a cable lock # e98891 to secure your bikes to the rack and a 2-inch hitch lock like # e98880 to lock the rack to your Curt hitch unless it comes with one.
