Out of the available trailer hitch receiver options for your 2005 Buick LeSabre I recommend installing the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 36309 which is a Class II with a 1-1/4 inch hitch receiver. It does have a Tongue Weight (TW) rating of 300 lbs but you will be limited by the maximum TW rating of your LeSabre. I looked at the online version of your owner's manual and it stated that the max weight capacity of a trailer that your LeSabre can haul is 1,000 lbs and that the TW should be 10-15% of that. This means that your TW should range between 100 lbs - 150 lbs.

We do have some options for a hitch mounted cargo carrier that comes with a ramp but they require that hitch receiver to be 2 inches as opposed to the 1-1/4 inch receiver option that you have for your LeSabre.

If you are able to lift the motorized chair up, and if it fits inside the dimensions of the carrier, I recommend using the 20x47 Pro Series Cargo Carrier # 63155. This carrier only weighs 39 lbs so it will leave you with a max of about 110 lbs to work with. It is a fixed carrier so it doesn't include more moving parts that a folding carrier would and it has a 3 inch rise in the shank for added ground clearance. This carrier also comes with a limited 1-year warranty.

You will need to purchase a hitch pin and clip which you can find listed as part # PC2 on our site or if you would rather use a locking hitch pin instead you can use part # e98880.

If you find that you chair will cover up the tail lights of your LeSabre you will also need to install some lights on the cargo carrier. To do this you will need a Light Wiring Kit # C59496 to install on your LeSabre and the LED Light Kit # 98174LED will fit perfectly on this carrier.

Please be sure to consult your owner's manual to make sure that you are properly loading the cargo carrier and that you do not exceed any other weight limits of your LeSabre.

I have attached some sample installation videos on various vehicles of these products so that you can have a reference point on how to install them.
