Is There Difference Between Weld On and Bolt On Style of Sway Control Bracket for Friction SC

Question:

My trailer weighs 3700 lb. I going to install an anti-sway bar. My question is: Is there any difference between using a bolt on bracket, like the Reese Sway-Control Bracket for 2inch Ball Mounts - Class III and IV Item # RP26003, vs. the bracket you weld onto the drawbar? Thanks

The only difference would be the install of the part # RP26003 or a weld on bracket part # 3442. Aside from that they function the same.

With the weld on bracket you'll have to find a welder to do the work, but the added thickness of the # RP26003 might create the need for a taller shank hitch ball.
