If I disconnect the battery where does the brake assist unit get power to work.

If you are using a supplemental braking system like the # BLU37TR which powers through a cigarette lighter outlet and the vehicle requires the battery be disconnected what you'll need is the part # RM-9332 which runs directly to the disconnected battery and gives you a power source for the system.
