Trailer Hitch Receiver for a 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS

Hi, Two questions, I have used your hitches many times over many years , I'm about to buy a 2005 Monte Carlo SS, Yes it is a pain to find a hitch and does have the ground kit , I found one but lost it in the days past, Do your have a listing on which hitch to use,? Also you being in the Trailer business ,What have you found to be the best way to beef up the coil springs to help towing ,I don't want to destroy the ride but I think I will need a little lift help, It was simple in the old days just get air shocks which I could rise and lower as needed, Do you know an air bag system for this car , Thanks

I have two trailer hitch receiver options for a 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The Curt Class II Frame Receiver Hitch part # C12028. This trailer hitch receiver will bolt onto the frame of your SS model; however, the rear bumper fascia will interfere with the hitch receiver opening. If you do not mind altering the rear fascia on your vehicle then this hitch receiver will work for you. Curt doesn't make a trailer hitch receiver option compatible with the SS model without having to trim the rear fascia.

For a wiring harness, I recommend using the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # C59236. You will also want a ball mount/hitch ball. I have attached our help article to help you find the right one.

In regards to suspension enhancements, we currently do not carry any options that will work for you at this time.
