How to Use a Curt Stability Strap on a 2016 Volvo XC90
Question:
So I am not sure what part of the car to attached the strap to. the top of the center of trunk door has a piece of flexible plastic which blocks you hooking something over it. I could put it to one side - but not sure if that works....

I contacted Curt directly, and they have no direct solution for the 2016 Volvo XC90. In this case, I'd recommend going to either side and as close as possible to that piece. If you're worried about the stability of your load, Curt recommends purchasing another strap, part # 18050 and use it in tandem on the other side to secure.
The most important goal is to limit the amount of bouncing that the hitch is doing, thus reducing the stress on the hitch.
