Removing Lock Core on Yakima Space Cadet Cargo Box

Our Yakima space cadet had a broken key in it. We were on vacation and had to get our things out. I drilled the lock out to get in. I ordered a new tumbler and key but not sure how to get old unit out the rest of the way

To remove the lock core on your Yakima Space Cadet Cargo Box, you will need the Replacement Control Key # Y8007835. The control key will allow you to remove (and insert) the lock core on your box for them to be changed out. The key will only work to remove the cores when they are unlocked.

If the core is still unlocked, you will just need to have a locksmith unlock it or completely drill out the core.
