Will the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver Fit a 2011 Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring with a Factory Hitch
Question:
On a CX-9 Grand Touring that has the factory tow package, does the hidden hitch attach in addition to the Mazda hitch, or does it replace it? The comment that the OEM hitch is welded to the frame concerns me.

I spoke with my contact at Hidden Hitch, and he said that the factory OEM hitch has to be removed for the Draw-Tite, part # 75531, to be installed on your 2011 Mazda CX-9 Grand Touring.
He did not think that the factory hitch is welded on, but he was not sure. I would recommend to look under the rear of your vehicle to see if the hitch is bolted on or welded on. I am including links to the installation instructions on the Hidden Hitch and a video of the hitch being installed on a 2010 Mazda CX-9. These links will show you where you will need to look to see if the factory hitch is bolted on.
If it is bolted on, then you can remove the factory hitch and install the Hidden Hitch.
