What PSI Will Give Optimal Performance For Special Trailer Tires?
Question:
I have a 14k toy hauler and just bought a bunch of these from you guys. Do i really fill them to 110psi? Or do i have to chalk the tires for specific applications? I am new to the RV world but am used to race slicks and having to figure out optimal psi.

The Provider ST235/85R16 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range G # TTWPRG235R16 are designed to be filled to 110 psi. The RV world of tires is very different than race slicks and far less complicated. You just fill the tires when cold to their max psi. That is what they are intended to be run at during all conditions for optimal performance.
The Special Trailer (ST) Tires are designed with a strong sidewall and are designed for traveling inline with the vehicle towing them. The maximum load capacity should not be surpassed and neither should the speed rating...in this case 81 mph. This combination when at max psi will put the tread in the correct spot and will keep heat dissipating properly. Lack of tire pressure can actually create less traction and can cause the tire to heat up and even blow out.
