Hello, Currently I have Marathon ST235 80 R16 load E tires on my 2014 Montana Mountaineer 5th wheel. I am looking for a tire grade up from my current tire. I want to increase the load range and speed of tire. I was told load E is approx 3,400 lbs and I want to increase the load. Also, I was informed the speed rating was only 65 mph on my current tires. Can you tell me what the next best tire would be? I was told the Maxxis radial tire at a max load of 3640 lbs would be the tire but, I could not get a speed rating. What would you suggest?

For your replacement tires to your Marathon ST235/80R16, I recommend the Taskmaster Provider ST235/85R16 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range G # TTWPRG235R16. These tires are rated for speeds up to 81 mph and have a load capacity of 4,400 lbs at 110 psi.

When a speed rating is not given on a tire like the Maxxis, it is normally the standard 65 mph max rating.

Tire manufacturers require that you fill to capacity when cold. If you go with the Provider ST235/85R16 #TTWPRG235R16 you have to run it at 110 psi at all times otherwise you'll cause heat build up which causes tire failure.
