Will Suspension Enhancement Be Needed with Weight Distribution to Level Trailer
Question:
Hi: I recently purchased a travel trailer 32 from a dealer and they sold and installed the Blue Ox Sway Pro for me. With my F150 to ensure it was properly set. I am now considering adding airbags to my rear suspension as the sway bars have touch a couple of times. Is that what I should do or am I possibly not putting enough tension on the bars and should be trying to get another link further up the chain?

Helpful Expert Reply:
If a weight distribution system is properly rated and set up for the tongue weight of the setup an air bag system is not going to be needed. It sounds like your setup needs more spring bar tension as long as your loaded tongue weight is under 1,000 lbs like the part # BXW1000 that you referenced.
Best option is to go through the initial set up procedure for the Blue Ox kit listed in the attached install instructions.
