US Car Connector Wiring Functions And Color

98 Dodge Ram 1500 does not have a yellow wire to connect to the harness for the trailer what is the color codes I need

For your 1998 Dodge Ram 1500, I recommend connecting the 7-Way Pre-Wired Car Connector, 7' Lead # 20023 by function as the colors are not always the same as you referenced. The functions based on color of this harness to help you are US Car Connector standard as follows:
Black---12V power
White--ground
Red---left turn and stop
Brown--Tail and running lights
Green-- right turn and stop
Yellow---reverse lights
Blue---electric brakes
I recommend using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to determine the functions of your vehicle to splice into.
