I had shop install e2hitch, how do I unhitch tow vehicle from e2?

The best way to disengage the weight distribution system from the tow vehicle involves removing the spring bars from the weight distribution head while the head is still attached to the vehicle's frame brackets. To do this, you will want to use a jack to lift both the vehicle and trailer to take some of the tension off the spring bars. Doing this will allow you to remove the spring bars from the frame brackets. You will then want to lower the trailer jack just enough to uncouple the trailer and pull away.
It is always a good idea to apply a thin amount of lubricant like the Equal-i-zer High-Performance Lubricant part # EQ91-00-4250 between the spring bar knuckles before re-installing.
