I recommend the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution # FA92-00-0800 for your 5,500lb travel trailer with 492lbs of tongue weight. This hitch is rated for trailers weighing up to 8,000lbs with between 400-800lbs of tongue weight. I prefer this hitch as it meets the weight specifications for your travel trailer and uses trunnion bars so they do not have the weak point like you get with round bars that come bent. I have seen the round bar style systems fall out while driving since they are held by a spring loaded clip rather than a pin and clip like this hitch.
You will need either a 2" # EQ91-00-6080 or 2-5/16" # EQ91-00-6100 depending on your coupler size.
