I want to install a front hitch to my Jeep Wrangler so I can use a winch on either the front or back. Can I also install D ring mounting brackets to the front hitch?

For a front mounted hitch compatible with your 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, I recommend using the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 65069 as the pull strength rating for this hitch is 9,000 lbs. I have included an installation video of this hitch on a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited for you.

Depending on the winch in which you will be using, I recommend using a front mount trailer hitch winch plate such as the Bulldog Winch Hitch Mounted Winch Mounting Plate with Handles # BDW20011 as you will be able to mount this to both the front and rear hitch receiver.
