Best Trailer Tire Option for 12 inch Trailer Rim

Question:

I have 5.30 - 12 tires on my camper 13 inch rims, does this size also convert to st175/80, or something like it? Im looking for more option on picking out new tires. Thanks

Your rim size is actually 12 inch based on the tire size you listed. You probably measured the rim including the mounting lip which adds an additional inch. So the best option we have for a 12 inch trailer rim is the radial tire size 145/R12 like part # AM10140.

A radial tire flexes more than a bias tire, giving it better ground contact, traction, stability, and tread wear.

A radial tire will normally run cooler than a bias ply tire, especially when the tire is under a load. A tire that runs cooler will last longer.

A bias ply tire has a stiffer sidewall than a radial, a feature that might be useful for off road applications like farm use.
