Brake Controller Recommendation for 2013 Nissan NV 3500
Question:
Hi. I have installed your wiring kit 118553 on van. With brake controller / adapter # 90885, 3050-P do I need to run extra wires to the back for trailer brakes, or do the brakes activate through the brake light circuits on the flat four plug? Thanks

Expert Reply:
Since you installed the 4-way # 118553 on your 2013 Nissan NV 3500 what you need to install a brake controller is the part # ETBC7 and not the part # 3050-P which you referenced.
The # ETBC7 comes with everything needed to convert the 4-way to a 7-way and also wire up the brake controller.
Had your vehicle had a factory 7-way you would instead have used the part # 3050-P.
