Recommended Options for Carrying 3 Bikes - 2 Pedego E-Bikes and 1 Schwinn.

I have two Classic Pedego bikes and a regular Schwinn so Im seeking a hitch rack to hold all three with ease. Thank you!

I do have some great options for you, but since you are wanting to carry 2 E-Bikes and a Schwinn, the solution for a single bike carry is limited to the Yakima HoldUp 4 Bike Rack # Y02443-2. This really is a great bike rack that has a 200 lbs weight capacity, but the problem is that it is a wheel mount and from my research it looked like all of your bikes have fenders which will not allow the wheel mount to work properly. If none of your bikes have a fender and the vehicle you will be using has a Class III 2 inch trailer hitch receiver then this is the bike rack for you. Otherwise we will need to explore some other options.

The first option that you have is using the Thule EasyFold XT # TH903202 bike rack (which was made specifically for E-Bikes) and a roof mounted bike rack for the Schwinn. If your vehicle already has a roof rack then you will just need a bike rack like the Yakima HighRoad # Y02114 or the Rhino-Rack MountainTrail # RBC035 to secure the bike to the roof. If you do not have a roof rack just let me know what the year/make/model of your vehicle is and I can make a recommendation for you.

The other option would be to use the Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer, part # Y08106 for 66 inch option or part # Y08107 for 78 inch option, along with 3 roof mount bike racks. This roof rack which is mounted on a trailer has a weight capacity of 250 lbs. Since this might be cutting it close for your 3 bikes plus the roof mounted bike racks you also might want to consider adding the 78 inch Crossmember Kit # Y08111 if you have the 66 inch Rack and Roll and then also adding the HD Shocks # Y08110 to the now 78 inch Rack and Roll. This will increase the weight capacity to 350 lbs so you can have more peace of mind when pulling it. Because of this I recommend going with the 78 inch Rack and Roll to begin with.

The Rhino-Rack MountainTrail # RBC035 has a weight capacity of 35 lbs so it should work okay for your Schwinn bike, but it will not be strong enough to hold your E-Bikes. For your E-Bikes your can either use the Yakima HighRoller # Y02107 or the Inno Tire Hold II # INA389. Both of these bike racks have a weight capacity of 50 lbs so as long as your Pedego E-Bikes are under 50 lbs (may need to remove the battery) then either of these will be the best solution for you.

The Yakima part number #Y08111 is just the crossbars of Yakima Rack and Roll trailer which the correct size trailer for these 78 inch bars is the part #Y08107. This trailer would be able to accommodate both an e-bike and a trike.
