Recommended Hitch For A 2009 Subaru Outback Wagon XT
Question:
Hello. I have 2009 Subaru Outback wagon XT with turbo charged engine. It dose not say sport on the car. So my question is will the draw-tite trailer hitch 75560 fit this model an if not do you know what the issue is? Thank you

Expert Reply:
The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 75560 is a direct fit for your 2009 Subaru Outback Wagon XT assuming it is not the sport model. The sport badge may have been removed, therefore to double check you will want to call the dealer with your VIN in order to be sure.
For the sport model, you will want the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11315 in addition to the required stabilizer strap like the Curt Trailer Hitch Support Strap part # 18050 for all non-towing applications.
Also take a look at a product like part # PC3, part # e98880, or part # 63232 to secure the extender in your 2" trailer hitch receiver.
I have attached an installation video of both hitches on a similar model for your review.
