Recommendation to Replace Axle on 2004 TAB Tear Trailer
Question:
I have a 2004 TAB Tear trailer manufactured by Dutchman, with the U shaped interior. I would like to replace the axle with the same axle that is used on Thor TAB Outback models. I understand that it is made by Dexter axle. Do you sell those. My purpose is to also put larger tires in the axle to make the trailer better suited to off road conditions. Better axle and more clearance. Thanks!!

We do have a nice selection of Dexter axles currently available, however we do not currently carry the specific off-road axles that are used on the Thor TAB Outback models that you referenced in your question.
Another option to consider is an axle-less system like the Timbren Heavy-Duty Axle-Less Trailer Suspension # ASR2KHDS04. This kit features a 4 inch lift and can eliminate the need for an axle, which will combine to allow for maximum ground clearance and low deck height. The system will fit any frame width and has a weight capacity of 2,000 pounds.
For a compatible hub and drum assembly, I recommend the etrailer # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K. This hub assembly includes the bearings, races, seal, grease cap, wheel bolts and lug nuts.
I have attached a video demonstration on the Timbren Axle-Less System for you to check out.
