To install the Draw-Tite Class III 2 Inch Hitch, part # 75082, on your 1996 Ford Ranger you do not need to completely remove the bumper. The bumper is held on to the vehicles frame by two bolts on each side of the vehicle. When installing the Draw-Tite you will remove the rearmost bolt on each side of the bumper bracket and use that hole and an existing hole located in front of the bumper bracket for installation of the Hidden Hitch. The hitch will end up being installed on top of the bumper brackets.
I am including a link to the installation instructions on the Draw-Tite and a video link of the hitch being installed on a 2008 Ford Ranger.
