Recommended RV Rated Bike Rack to Carry 4 Bikes

Question:

Were looking for a 4 or more bike rack to put behind our fifth wheel camper. It needs to be RV rated. What is/are your recommendations, and why?

You're correct we have several options of RV rated 4-bike racks that I've linked on this page.

The most economical rack is the Swagman XP # S64940. It is a good rack that is rated for fifth-wheel usage. It has rotating cradles that help when using it with alternative framed bikes. It includes a locking knob to deter bike theft and the hitch lock can be purchased separately with the Locking Anti-Rattle Threaded Hitch Pin # S64027. Some people also like to add a ratchet and socket to stay with the anti-rattle hitch for handy, easy, removal. We have the Part # PTW38106-24 for this.

The most popular is the Swagman Trailhead # S63381. This is, of course, in part due to cost but it's also a Swagman who has done very well with bike racks for RV's. A lot of bike rack manufacturers haven't put much emphasis on the RV market where Swagman has done a great job. It is more of a basic model (No locks like you mentioned) but is great quality.

We also have the Yakima LongHaul Bike Rack for 4 bikes # Y02476 that is rated for RV use. It is the Cadillac of the the lineup right now. It includes the features that make Yakima racks great like the SuperCush anti-sway cradles and the ZipStrip straps. It also has the SKS locks for the hitch and bikes included.

Check out the videos of each of these racks to help you make a choice.
