If you have a trailer hitch on your 1998 Suburban, you will need a trailer wiring harness and a ball mount and hitch ball to tow the trailer.
If you need a hitch I recommend the Draw-Tite # 41511. This is a Class lll hitch and it has a 2-inch receiver opening. You will want to tow the trailer as level as possible so I have attached a link to a helpful article that explains how to choose the right ball mount.
You will also need to get a hitch ball. You will want to select a hitch ball that works with the ball mount. For example, if you find the right ball mount and it has a 1-1/4 inch diameter hole for the ball shank, and you need a 2-inch hitch ball, I recommend part # A-90.
If the trailer has electric brakes, you will need a brake controller like part # 90885. This is out most popular brake controller because it is easy to set up and operate.
Since you said you have a towing package on your Suburban, you probably have a 7-way trailer connector on the back of your vehicle. If so, you can check out the helpful article I attached that explains installing a brake controller from scratch.
If you have a 4-way trailer connector, you will need to use part # ETBC7 to give you the working 7-way needed.
