Slider Hitch Recommendation That Has Quiet Ride Quality

Question:

I currently have a Reese 30051 5th wheel hitch. When stopping i get a small jerk and when i pull back out it does the same. Im wondering if my reese is wore out,im thinking of buying the bandw patriot 18k BWRVK3270 AND wonder if that would be a better slider hitch, and not get the jerks on starts and stops. Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Slider hitches like the Reese part # RP30051 have enough moving parts in them between the jaws and the slider assembly that a bit of movement is hard to prevent. The best option is a slider hitch with a great jaw design and a round tube slider as they are a bit smoother.

The Patriot Slider part # BWRVK3270 that you mentioned would be a great option as it fits both criteria. It has one of the nicest jaw designs on the market and has a round tube slider so it will be very quiet.
