What Wire Gauge Should Be Used When Installing the C-800 Klauber Stabilizer Motor
Question:
I am adding a third stabilizer and need to know what gauge wire to use to send power to the motor. I have a new switch that uses 16 gauge. I would think number 12 would work with this but not sure? What gauge wire is recommended for this 20 amp max circuit? Thanks

Expert Reply:
When installing the C-800 Klauber Stabilizer Jack Motor, # LC138445, the largest gauge wire possible should be used.
I recommend 10 gauge wire running from the battery to the 20amp breaker and then to the motor. As well as on the motors ground circuit. I recommend using # 10-2-1 wire. The wire is sold by the foot and is a jacketed 2-10gauge wire. I also recommend the Deka Heat Shrink 12-10 Gauge Butt Connectors, # DW05745-5 and 2- Deka Ring Connectors, # DW05740-1 to connect to the circuit breaker.
