Can Smaller Spring Bars Be Used With Equal-I-zer Weight Distribution System

I have an Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control - 10,000 lbs GTW, 1,000 lbs TW. My tow vehicle is a 2017 Honda Pilot AWD with tow package. Rated 500 TW 5000 Towing. My Trailer has a TW OF 400lbs and GVW of 3700 lbs. Im concerned that the WDH is to heavy. Is it possible to change out the bars to a lighter rating?

Our contact at Equal-I-zer tells us that the head is different on the Equal-I-zer weight distribution system # EQ37100ET you have versus the 6,000-lb system # EQ37060ET.

This does prevent you from being able to use the 600-lb spring bars # EQ90-01-0699 on your 10K system. These spring bars measure 35-1/2 inches long and are 1-1/4 x 1-1/4 inches square.

The spring bars on your 10K system measure 35-1/2 inches long and are 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 inches square.
