Troubleshooting Lippert LCI Electric Jack That Has To Be Manually Started And Then Will Work Fine

Question:

My Jack worked fine at first. Had lots of power. Now when I push to extend or retract, it wont move. If I crank it manually 1 turn or more, then it starts up and will continue to run until I stop. If I try to restart it, I have to do another manual turn to get it moving again. What can I do?

It sounds like a power issue to me, but I reached out to my contact at Lippert to get their thoughts. They said that it is most likely a voltage issue. They recommend checking your voltage going to your system because if your battery falls below 12 volts, your battery will seem to work fine in all other ways, but your jack will not work. I recommend checking your ground connection as well to make sure you have the full power of the jack.
