Stromberg Carlson Trailer Jack Will Not Move

My Husky HB 3000 electric power lift will not go up and down. The lights work but not the up and down. I thought it was the battery and took the old one to be tested at local auto parts store. Viola, battery cell dead. So I purchased new one and installed. Once I installed the new battery, still would not go up or down no sound of motor. The lights still work though. So, any suggestions on what I might do next?

If all of your wiring looks good and you have solid connections then the problem is most likely your ground. You will want to make sure that the ground on your Stromberg Carlson # JET-5000 has a solid, metal-to-metal, connection to your trailer frame. Any corrosion and sometimes paint can mess with the connection enough that it will make this stuff happen.

If that isn't the problem let me know and I will help you troubleshoot further.
