Powred Jack Recommendation to Replace Non-Powered Jack

Question:

I have a standard A-Frame trailer jack, 3K capacity, topwind Haulmark Deluxe car trailer. Id like to add an electric motor to it, to raise and lower the leg, Is that possible or would I have to replace the whole jack for an electric one?

You are going to have to remove your current A-frame jack and replace it with one that does have a motor as there isn't a way to add motors to jacks that don't currently have them.

I think the best value for an A-frame tongue jack is the Stromberg Carlson # SC63VR which is rated for 4500 pounds of tongue weight. This is 1000 pounds more than other models, and even though you may not need this much capacity, you will find that the jack motor runs quick and effortlessly. This will add years to its life. This jack also has a unique clutch that prevents damage from overextending or retracting the jack foot - the most common reason for jack failure.
