Recommended Trailer Hitch for 2015 Toyota Highlander

Question:

Im looking at buying a trailer harness from you and a Thule hitching post pro bike rack with anti sway for my 2015 Toyota Highlander Platinum. I would like to buy a Curt hitch as it seems it is the most hidden option. However, it doesnt work with a full size spare. Do you know if my car has a full size spare or a donut? What would you recommend?

As you mentioned in your question, the etrailer Class III Round Tube Receiver Hitch # e98844 is confirmed to fit your 2015 Toyota Highlander and will be able to accommodate a full size spare tire that is stored under the vehicle as long as it is steel and not aluminum. The aluminum rim is too wide to fit. I was not able to verify whether your Highlander has the steel or aluminum rim, you can check this with magnet if you are unable to determine visually. A magnet will not stick to aluminum.

The Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR referenced in your question will work great with either hitch on your vehicle. This carrier can transport up to 4 bikes at 35 pounds each and includes an anti-sway strap to prevent movement of the bikes.
