Parts Needed To Covert Reese 15K 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch To 16K 5th Wheel Hitch
Question:
I have an older Reese 15K fifth wheel hitch that needs the head replaced. Is the new 16K head compatible with my 15K cross member? I would like to simply pull the large pin holding the old 15K head to the cross member and replace with a new 16K head. Thank you

I contacted our representative at Reese and he informed me that if you wanted to upgrade to a 16K head, you would also need to replace the crossmember or center section of your hitch.
We actually carry what you will need packaged together. The Replacement Head with Crossmember, part # RP30047A, is what you will need. Part # RP30047A, will install to the existing legs of your Reese fifth-wheel hitch.
