Tekonsha Brake Controller Adapter For A 2016 Ford E-Series
Question:
I have a 2017 Thor Class C Motor Home E450 do you have a video of the install of a brake controller. Do I only need the adapter 3034-P and the brake controller no other wiring required. Which brake controller do you recommend, the only thing I plan on towing is a car dolly with a prius. Thanks for your Help Mark

As long as your 2016 Ford E-Series has a factory 7-way trailer connector, then yes you will only need the plug in wiring adapter. The plug in wiring adapter will be dependent upon the brake controller in which you select. I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 part # 90195 and # 3034-P. This is a direct fit for your vehicle without the need to hardwire. Featuring a 360 degree vertical range with customizable LCD display. This is one of most popular brake controllers on the market.
If your vehicle has a factory 4-flat currently installed, then you will need to do a bit of wiring for installation. The first item you will want is our Adapter 4-Pole to 7-Pole part # 37185. In order to properly install this adapter you will have to run a brake controller power wire from the adapter blue wire to the brake controller using approximately 30 or so feet of our 10 Gauge Primary Wire part # 10-1-1.
If your vehicle does not possess a factory 4-flat or 7-way connector then you will also need to hardwire a few parts into your existing harness. You will need to install the 4-Pole Hardwire Kit part # 18252 in addition to our Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller part # ETBC7. These two parts will allow for a complete installation of an aftermarket brake controller on your 2016 Ford E-Series.
Unfortunately I do not have an installation video of a brake controller install on your 2016 Ford E-Series however, I have attached a video installation of our brake controller on a 2004 Ford E-Series.
