Availability of 5th Wheel Install Brackets and Hardware for 2005 Ford F-350 With Long Bed

Question:

I have an 05 Ford F350 longbox. I bought used valley 16k dual pivot. I have the base rails, but need to hardware/bolts/brackets. Just wondering if they are available without having to purchase another set of rails. I would also like the no drill kill. Thanks for your time.

I have a solution for you, but we do not recommend mixing base rails and frame brackets from different manufactures. Unfortunately Valley went out of business, so we do not have any frame brackets or hardware available.

Instead, I recommend installing a new fifth wheel base rail and frame bracket kit on your truck like the Reese Custom Fit Install Kit, # RP50082-58. Your Valley 16K hitch will be compatible with the Reese base rails, so you will have no problem there. This kit has everything you will need to install the rails and frame brackets.

The main reason that we do not recommend mixing manufacturers is because the base rails are not exactly the same between all manufacturers. The fifth wheel slots are standard dimensions, but we have found that the bolt holes drilled into the rails for the frame brackets are not always the same.
