Using The E-Track Trailer Cargo Control # EM59150 On Trailer To Secure ATVs and Motorcycles

Question:

I have an enclosed 7 6 X 18 V-nose additional 6 trailer and want to primarly transport atvs. However, I would like to have flexibility with motorcycles or a combination of both. I thought about starting at the back of the trailer ramp door and install e track sideways over the floor beamsaluminum frame which are every 24 upt to the front of the trailer. Is this a good idea or do you have a better recommendation? How solid is this type of mounting when I use tie downs? Does e track hold well either way? Thanks for your assistance.

Installing the E-Track Trailer Cargo Control, part # EM59150, would work well to strap down your ATVs and motorcycles on your V-nose trailer.

You could mount the E-Track sideways or perpendicular to the trailer frame over the floor as you described. The E-Track can also be mounted on the wall of trailers, so perhaps you could mount the track for the ATVs on the floor towards the front of the trailer. Then you could mount track on the trailer walls for the motorcycles or on the floor as well. Either option will work, its just a matter of personal preference.

This type of mounting is very solid as the tracks can be mounted using screws, or rivets. If using screws, I would use a stronger grade screw like sheet metal screws.

Using tie-downs with the E-Track will work well. I would recommend either the E-Track Tie-Off Ring, part # 59131, or E-Track 2 inch D-Ring, part # E59143. You may also be interested in the Erickson E-Track Strap with Ratchet, part # EM59136, if you do not already have straps.

The E-Track Trailer Cargo Control, part # EM59150, would be a good option for keeping your ATVs and motorcycles secure when hauling on your trailer and will hold well.
