Can Firestone Air Bags be Installed on a 2001 Ford Excursion that Does Not have Jounce Bumpers
Question:
I have a 01 Excursion with a 5inch rear block and no jounce bumper pad. Does the air kit need that bumer pad to complete install? Do i have any other options?

To install Firestone Ride-Rite air bags # F2251 on a 2001 Ford Excursion 4x4 the jounce bumpers would have to be removed and are not reinstalled. So not having the jounce bumpers actually saves you a step for the installation.
I also recommend using a compressor kit, # F2158, so you can add or remove air from the air bags from inside the vehicle. The kit is not required but makes load leveling a lot easier.
If the 5 inch block you mentioned means that the frame is 5 inches further away from the axle than stock then you will also need some spacers. There are 4 inch spacers, # F2370, but no 5 inch spacers.
