Question:
On elec. brake controllers: most have a pic of the unit w/ a pigtail and a plug of some sort. Do you have the other half of the plug so that I can wire it into my system? Dont understand how these are supposed to work.

Many light trucks that already have a 7-way trailer connector installed from the factory will have some kind of wiring up under the dash of the vehicle to wire or plug into the brake controllers wiring harness. However on the 2000 Dodge full size van, this wiring is not installed.
The Universal Brake Controller Installation Kit, # ETBC7, will allow you to install the 7-way connecter and brake controller on you van.
First, you will need to install a 4-way connecter to run the trailer lights off your van' light wiring. The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness, # 118368, will plug into the OEM wiring of your van. I have attached an installation video of this harness being installed on a 2000 Dodge Van.
Once the # 118368 has been installed, then the # ETBC7 kit can be installed. The kit will include a 7-way connector, wire, and other electrical components needed to install a brake controller, like the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller # 90885.
This controller will include a basic 4 wire harness that will wire to the wiring you will run from the # ETBC7 kit. A basic reference on the wire color on the harness is as follows: Black to 12-volt power, White to ground, Blue to electric brake circuit and Red to cold side to brake light switch.
I have also attached articles that will also help explain wiring a brake controller from scratch and basic information on the #ETBC7 kit. I have also attached a picture of how the basic wiring of the # ETBC7 would be for a brake controller installation.
