Can a Factory 30 Amp Fused Circuit be Used to Power Titan BrakeRite EHB Actuator

Question:

I recently purchased Titan BrakeRite EHB Electric-Hydraulic Actuator for Disc Brakes - T4813100. In the installation guide it shows a 40A auto reset circuit breaker required in the tow vehicle, my 2014 Jeep grand Cherokee has a normal OEM 30A blade type fuse on the black wire within the fuse box, do I need to replace it with an auto reset circuit breaker? I also use a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 brake controller.

The 30 amp fuse will be fine for installing the BrakeRite EHB # T4813100. A lot of aftermarket hardwired 7-Way connectors use a 40 amp circuit breaker which is probably why Titan included that in the diagrams within the instructions for the actuator. In the actual text, step 4.1, it states, "For both the BrakeRite EHB & BrakeRite II SD 12 gauge or larger wire must be run from the towing vehicle battery to the BrakeRite with either a 30 amp fuse or circuit breaker for protection."

The newest version of the # T4813100 is the Titan BrakeRite I Plug and Play Electric-Hydraulic Actuator Kit # T4813102.
