Measurement For 5th Wheel Slider Compatibility On 2013 Ram 1500 Short Bed
Question:
I have a 2013 Ram 1500 crew with a short bed. Its been fitted with an LPG conversion with a BIG tank. Can you please send me install instructions for a sliding hitch and specific install kit, as I need to look at the measurements to see if itll fit, or if Im going to have to change the tank. For your 2013 Ram 1500 short bed, the Reese Quick-Install Custom Base Rails and Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP50142-58 will be the closest component to the cab of your truck. The instructions on the brackets # RP50142 included in that kit give the measurement from the rear edge of the bed to the back of the rear rail of 28-15/16 inches and then you will have a measurement of 27-3/4 inches for a grand total of 56-11/16 inches from the rear lip of the bed not the tail gate.
