How to Select & Install Replacement Electric Drum Brakes on Crossroads Slingshot 25RL Travel Trailer
Question:
I want to purchase new brake kits for my Crossroads, Slingshot 25RL trailer. Can you provide me with the correct specs for the brakes 10inch drums but unknown pad width. Id rather not have to remove the wheel and drum to find this info.

The axle capacity sticker on your Slingshot 25RL's axles should confirm their weight rating and this is what you'll want to use to select your new electric drum brakes. The 10-inch brakes we offer are all a 2-1/4-inch width and are shown on the linked page. You also want to match the brake mounting flange bolt pattern to ensure the new brakes will bolt right up. Always be sure to choose both left- and right-hand brakes for each axle.
On the linked page click on the filter for your axle capacity and wheel size to then see compatible brakes. We have both manual-adjust brakes like 3500-lb kit # AKEBRK-35 as well as self-adjusting brakes like # AKEBRK-35-SA.
When wiring in the new brakes you can use either wire as ground.
