Will Andersen Fifth Wheel to Gooseneck Adapter Provide Enough Turn Clearance in 2016 Ram Short Bed
Question:
I want to use this to adapt a camper to gooseneck and pull it with my 2016 ram 1500 crew cab 5.7ft bed. The trailer Id like to tow has the extended pin box as well. Would this provide enough setback so I dont hit my cab? Thanks

The Andersen Fifth Wheel to Gooseneck Adapter # AM3139 has an offset of 8 inches. To find out if this will be enough for your 2016 Ram 1500 to have clearance to tow your trailer you'll have to do a little measuring.
Measure from the center of your hitch ball to your truck's cab and add the 8 inches of offset to that. Then take the minus half the width of your trailer. If you're left with 4 inches or more you will have enough clearance to make a full 90 degree turn.
