Adjusting the Height of Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16064

Question:

There are 8 bolt hole in the hitch but only 4 bolts ship with kit . Is it ok to set the hitch back in the base toward the tail gate and only use the 4 bolts or should it be centered and 4 more bolts be added ?I am towing a 34 ft Cedar Creek CKTS? It has the easy ride air pin box so I really didnt need a slider hitch

The additional bolt holes on the Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16064 are so you can adjust the height setting of the hitch. You only need to use the included four M14 hex bolts, and you will simply select a set of mounting holes that will allow for sufficient clearance between the 5th wheel trailer and the sides of the tow vehicle. You will use two hex bolts for each hitch leg, using the outermost bolt holes on the hitch. I do not recommend using the additional bolt holes to set the hitch further back toward the truck's tailgate.

The Curt A20 has a hitch height of 13 to 17 inches, depending on which bolt holes you use.

I have attached a video review of this product for you to check out.
