Can Trailer Side to Side Tilt be Reduced Using a Reese Goose Box Adapter

Question:

When I pull out our campsite we have to go through a ditch and make the turn in it. Is there something that will prevent the gooseneck from allowing the tilt of the hitch and put some of the pressure back on the trailer. My conventional hitch currently has movement side to side of 2inch at the box side and with a front back movement it will move upwards of 5. Is there any control or adjustment on the gooseneck? I dont want to have any contact between the box and trailer. Trailer 2010 Crossroads Seville 35ck Truck 2016 gmc 3500 Denali 6.5 box with a BandW turnover ball

A trailer coupler that attaches to a ball, such as with the Reese Goose Box # RP85FR is going to have movement, it has to be that way otherwise the truck, trailer, or hitch could get damaged (because a rigid connection won't have any give).

On a 5th wheel set up provided that you have about 6 inches from the tops of the bed sides to the bottom of the trailer overhang you will be in that safe zone.

You would have more adjustability as far as height and probably a little less tilt if you go with the B&W Companion hitch # BWRVK3400 which is the ideal connection for a 5th wheel trailer. I have included a link to a video review of this hitch for you.
