Rear Sway Bar Recommendation for 2000 Ford F-250

Question:

I have a 2000 F250 Superduty 4WD 7.3 extra cab long bed that has a 6 1/2 inch pro comp suspension lift with 37inch tires . I have a Northstar pop up camper and a 26 1/2 foot cabin cruiser that I tow - some times with and some times without the camper on . What products do you recommend to help with the extra loads ? Thanks for any feedback ,

The correct rear sway bar for your 2000 Ford F-250 is the Roadmaster sway bar part # RM-1139-153 which is a confirmed fit. This will help greatly with handling while towing.

We aren't going to have a great suspension support system solution but we can offer you a setup that's actually better designed for towing. A weight distribution system helps with rear end sag by distributing some of the tongue weight up to the front axle. In doing so it reduces sag but also improves braking and handling.

The best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of the setup when it is loaded and ready to tow. This figure also includes the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. I attached a help article on determining tongue weight for you to check out as well. You will want the loaded tongue weight of your setup to fall right in the middle of the tongue weight range of the system you use.

Once you know your tongue weight you will want to check out the link I attached that has all of the weight distribution systems we carry. You will be able to select your tongue weight from the filters to see what would be rated for your setup.
