What Trailer Hitch Is Available For A 2007 Dodge Caliber R/T

Question:

Hello. Im a little confused? Ive found 2 references to the availability of a hitch for the 2007 Dodge Caliber R/T model. From one question on this subject you state there are not manufacturers who make a hitch for the R/T model. Then another posting its stated the Curt C11006 will fit the R/T model. Before I go through the effort of ordering from you I want to be certain the Curt C11006 will fit the Caliber R/T. Thank you

We offer two hitches for a 2007 Dodge Caliber, as long as it is not an SRT-4 model.

Anytime you are going to be installing a hitch to your 2007 Dodge Caliber R/T for towing purposes, you will need to check your owners manual for the vehicles maximum towing capacity. You will want to make sure that your vehicle will be able to handle the capacities of the hitch you will be installing.

The Curt Class I 1-1/4 Inch Hitch, part # C11006, will fit a 2007 Dodge Caliber R/T. It has a maximum towing weight capacity of 2,000 lbs. and a maximum tongue weight capacity of 200 lbs.

Draw-Tite also offers a Class I receiver, part #24769.

Whether or not you use the hitch for towing purposes, I would recommend the Curt Hitch, because it uses two additional mounting locations for a stronger attachment to the underside of the Caliber. When used for non-trailer loads such as a bike rack or a cargo carrier, the Curt warranty requires the use of a stabilizing strap like part # 18050.

I am including links to the installation instructions on both of the trailer hitches.
